The simulation depicts a transition from traditional manufacturing to team-oriented cellular manufacturing using the construction of airplanes as the process model.
There are four phases to the simulation:
1) Traditional process oriented,
2) Cellular redesign,
3) Cellular redesign with a pull system, and 4) Cellular redesign with a pull system and with team workload sharing.
